On the other hand, the High Resolution (HR) and Full Resolution (FR) versions of the distribution fit the grain size-related data sets from the study area. The statistical results, such as the mean, the median and the mode, are presented in the Table 5. The grain size of sediments is characterized by a heavy-tailed (vs. Gaussian) distribution, which is a very important aspect in sediment processes. In that case, a Gaussian distribution is neither accurate nor realistic to describe grain size distributions of the examined samples.

The obtained data were processed with the application of GRADISTAT software version 8 ( Blott and Pye, 2001 ). An aggregate for each of the five dimensions was recorded, resulting in 125 data sets.
Mean was calculated for each sample, and the mean and the median values are also included in the Table 4. The data obtained by the study were treated as size data with a continuous distribution.
The table shows that, according to the measured grain size, the selected samples have three median grain sizes: the fine-grained samples were associated with a smaller median grain size. The higher kurtosis values for the selected samples, however, indicate that the grains were normally distributed.
The difference between the mean and the median values might be associated with the fact that the median is a more robust and conservative indicator than the mean (see, e. Unconfined groundwater flow is the primary cause of soil erosion in coastal areas. In unconfined conditions, groundwater has direct access to the soil surface and moves rapidly in the be359ba680
